FROSTBITE SERIES

The Frostbite Yacht Club (FBYC) and the Essex Yacht Club have a long close relationship dating back to March 4-5, 1933 when the first Eastern Frostbite Dinghy Regatta was held on the Connecticut River. This regatta was the genesis of the Essex Yacht Club. Continuing to present day the Connecticut River Frostbite Squadron at Essex holds Spring and Fall Frostbite racing from EYC. The fleet consists of Etchells, Ideal 18s, JY15s, Lasers and 420s (sailed by the Valley Regional Sailing Club.

2012 Schedule:
Spring Frostbite begins Sunday, March 4 and ends Sunday, April 29. Fall Frostbite begins Sunday, October 7 and ends Sunday, December 2.
