Initial Skippers Meeting will be at the EYC launching area at 12 pm, Sunday March 3. The Warning Signal will be at 1:00pm. No races will start after 3:30pm. Racing will run Sundays from March 3 to April 28, 2023 with exception to Sunday March 31 as racing will instead be held on Saturday March 30 due to Easter.
The Frostbite Yacht Club (FBYC) and the Essex Yacht Club have a long close relationship dating back to March 1933 when the first Eastern Frostbite Dinghy Regatta was held on the Connecticut River. This regatta was the genesis of the Essex Yacht Club. Continuing to present day, the Connecticut River Frostbite Squadron at Essex holds Spring and Fall Frostbite racing from EYC. The fleet consists of Etchells, Ideal 18s, JY15s, Lasers as well as 420s sailed by the Valley Regional Sailing Club.
